I love the beauty and utility of the Wasatch tools and the quick responsiveness of Fairflies. I am not a fisherman. I use the tools to make jewelry. They are just the right size for my small pieces and are a pleasure to work with. Fairflies sent my order out immediately and I received it quickly. I will come back to them for Watsatch tools.
I love my new tools. I was going to give them as a gift. Now I’ve decided to keep them. The midge picker is the best I’ve ever had for the tiny flies I use on the San Juan. The dubbing picker is great on the larger flies. Thanks for everything.
Like all of my Wasatch tools, the Standard Dubbing Picker is made with a wood handle and sturdy metal fittings. The working portion of the tool is 3-ply twisted cable wire that makes the job of forming nymph legs on dubbing material an easy task. I used the tip of the cable wire while turning the tool at slight clockwise increments, to tease-out legs on the thorax portion of a muskrat nymph. Looks great!
